When we face life’s tests, we must decide whether or not we are going to trust God to fulfill His purpose in our lives or become distracted by the challenges we face along the way. This memoir shares the author’s emotional, physical, and spiritual experience with pregnancy bed rest through journal entries and referenced Biblical scriptures. She spent nearly the entirety of two pregnancies on bed rest, including a total of 18 weeks in the hospital.
It is the hope that this memoir will be an encouragement to others who may be experiencing pregnancy bed rest, and to anyone facing a situation that seems insurmountable. The author believes that faith in God is one of the most powerful tools of resilience available to Believers.

An Open Look Into Walking with God When Being Challenged
From the very start of this read I could feel and relate to the open vulnerability yet trust in God. Having been and still going through a challenging health experience, reading Pregnant with a Promise reminds me of the Word and that no matter what challenges we face, faith is key! -WorkingMom
A must read!
Pregnant with Promise: A Spiritual Journey of Pregnancy, Bed Rest, and Childbirth, is a biblically rooted hidden gem for any expecting parent or individual facing obstacles that can only be resolved by faith, hope, trust, and love. Dr. Alfred selflessly shares her innermost thoughts on difficult moments, uncomfortable situations, and life-altering decisions for her family. This veracious and chronological report of tribulations unfolds fears regarding the unknown. Yet, the memoir unapologetically grasps the assurances of God for those willing to embrace His Word and believe in His Power.
The book is an excellent read. It provides the audience an opportunity to inhale a profound testimony and to receive uplifting messages of encouragement. It also offers a bold challenge for those on their own Damascus road experience to peacefully stand confident in their circumstance. God’s love is sufficient through it all.
